About

Pamela Gabiger, J.D.

Has proudly served her community in the Hudson Valley for more than 20 years. Her experience includes a wide array of legal fields, with specialized expertise in Personal Injury Litigation, Family Court and Child Custody Matters. She has earned several awards for her academic and professional achievements and is admitted to practice in all New York State Courts and the United States District Court.

Pam has been a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor since 2004 and has served as Law Guardian representing the rights of children and parents regardless of gender. In the same year, she became an Advocate for the Training of Battered Victims, assisting victims with court-related matters with the status "community-based advocate", meaning that she is not employed by an agency within the justice system and all information shared by the victim is therefore confidential and not reported unless granted permission. Family safety has continued to be her utmost priority in such matters. Domestic violence counselors must be empathetic and sensitive to the needs of their clients and require sovereign communication skills and emotional intelligence in order to manage difficult situations with grace and compassion — skills which apply equally in every one of her cases.

Pam is a New York local: She received her Associate in Arts Degree in Humanities from Dutchess Community College in 1984. She then attended the State University of New York at Albany where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in 1986 with honors.  While already serving personal injury clients in a law firm in Albany, she attended Western New England College School of Law in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she held the #2 rank in her law school class and earned her Juris Doctor Degree in 1998, receiving the "Award Letter of Academic Excellence for Outstanding Academic Achievement" for obtaining the highest grade in Civil Procedure.

From 1999 to 2002 Pam was an Associate Personal Injury Litigation Attorney in a major Hudson Valley law firm where she negotiated six- and seven-figure cases. In 2001 she produced over $2,000,000.00 in fees. In that time alone, Pam prepared for and attended over 75 examinations before trial in cases involving scars, fractures, permanent injuries, injuries requiring surgery, cases involving automobile accidents, falls, product liability, labor law cases and cases valued at $500,000.00, successfully obtaining arbitration awards for injured clients.
